Prime Philosophy: January 2026 wrap up
They say that the hardest part of any journey is the first step, but for a creator, the hardest part is often the “Publish” button.
I spent most of 2025 with my blog in a perpetual state of “Draft.” In all honesty, I spend most of my creative life in draft. I have hundreds of thousands of words living on my hard drive, a private hoard of ideas, theories, and designs that I was too cautious to share. I was always writing, but rarely publishing.
But as the clock struck midnight on January 1, 2026, I officially entered my first Creation Phase under the Prime Rhythm methodology.
January is a Prime month in this system, which means its meant for momentum, raw production and surges of energy. For me, that meant one thing. It was time to share the hoard.
If you’re reading this and feeling hesitant about your own work, I’ll tell you what I learned. The first step really is the hardest. After that, you find your flow. I promise.
The Great Launch
The primary goal of my January surge was simple. Go Live.
I’ve been meaning to start an old school blog since I first connected to the internet. In 2025 that idea took shape as OnlyFangirling.com.
The name fits because I’m a total fangirl about all my hyperfixations, and I do indulge in the dark arts of twisted humor. But that’s a story for another time.
What matters is that in 2025, I started building my blog.
After a year of tweaking CSS and second guessing my headers, I faced the question every new blogger tortures themselves with. How many articles need to be ready on launch day?
I spent almost six months agonizing over this before my boyfriend gave me the very simple answer I’ll now give you. One article is enough. Don’t be me.
I finally launched my blog.
3blue1brown.com
In keeping with the “speed over perfection” mantra of a Creation Month, I didn’t just launch the site.
I flooded it with the foundations of my work.
Of course, this goes against every strategic advice from every internet guru ever.
But this is about me, not about them. I want to write my stories. People who enjoy them can stay.
I’m not chasing the impact the internet screams about.
I published and created several foundational pieces.
The Prime Philosophy
I finally introduced my planning theory to the world. Seeing the Prime Rhythm mapped was very rewarding.
The system uses prime numbers (2, 3, 5, 7, 11) to create irregular cycles of creation and recovery throughout the year.
Piano Theory
I began sharing my approach to music, connecting the mathematical structures of harmony to the the rules of geometry.
The Icon Package
This one isn’t published yet, but it’s in the far stages of design. For months, rough sketches and concepts sat in a folder, waiting for the right moment. Now, riding the January surge, I’m finally bringing them to life.
Working the Template
I filled the Core Content Goals section with a list that felt ambitious but achievable.
Writing down the targets and anticipating challenges kept me from getting lost in my own forest of words and projects. There's clarity in committing ideas to paper.
[I have a theory about the difference between thinking a though and writing down a though, but again, a story for an other time :) ]
The vague notion of "launching my blog" became concrete tasks.
The abstract concept of "sharing my work" became specific articles with actual deadlines.
The Surprising Surge
Starting the year in a Creation Phase is intense. It is a sprint. But because I know that a "Fleshing Out" phase is coming later this spring, I didn't feel the usual anxiety of “Can I keep this up forever?”
The answer is: I don’t have to. I just have to keep it up for now.
January was about testing the waters and proving to myself that my ideas are better off in the world than they are in a folder named "Drafts 2025."
What’s Next
In the Prime Rhythm system, February is also a Creation Month. The goal is to maintain momentum.
Now that the blog is live and the foundations are laid, February will be about expansion.
Turning these initial articles into deeper series. Building on what January started without losing the energy that got me here.
If you’re sitting on a folder full of drafts, maybe it’s time to pick your Prime month and hit publish.
This post is part of my 2026 Prime Rhythm series. If you’re interested in a more organic, less linear way to manage your creative energy, you can follow along as I map out the rest of the year.
